Welcome to GLOBAL DIGITAL BUSINESS
SOCIETY (GDBS)
Global Digital Business Society was
formed by a group of academicians to
advance understanding among academicians and practitioners about digital business issues, which is often
referred to as E-Business, E-Commerce, or online business. The primary
mission of the Society is to bring the people from all over the world
together in order to bridge the gap between development and use of
digital technologies. This mission can only be accomplished
through sharing of ideas, education and knowledge development, sharing
of research and engaging in joint research. Thus, GDBS academic group
welcomes individuals from all professions, especially those from
academia, technology/ software development business and government who
have an interest in digital business strategies, policies and practices,
E-Governance, CRM, data mining, management, and other topics relating
to electronic environment.
Global Digital Business Society
sponsors a premier journal, Journal of Digital Business. Two
issues are published every year - in June and December.
GDBS held its first International
Conference on Bridging Digital Divide (ICBDD 2007) during January 4-6,
2007. The second International Conference was held during January
10-12, 2008. Both of these conference were jointly sponsored by Management Development
Institute. An edited
book, Bridging Digital Divide, was published by Macmillan Book
Publishing Company, India in January 2007. Another book,
Enterprise Systems and Business Process Management was published in
January 2008. GDBS held its
Third International
conference in Orlando, Florida (USA) during May 21-24 2009 at Embassy
Suites Hotel, International Drive/Convention Center, Orlando, Florida. More Details about these conferences can be

GDBS is planning to hold its
Fourth International
conference with the theme of Management of Services and Technology in
Chengdu, (Sichuan Province), China during October 22-24, 2010 at
the campus of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Chengdu,
